Dear Julie,
On behalf of Motorola I would like to thank Grober Inc for donating
the Asian Elephant Milk Replacer upon the request made by Dr. Heather
McDonald.
Motorola paid for the airfreight of the bag and it was delivered to
the Department of Wildlife Conservation Sri Lanka (DWLC) yesterday.
I am sure that DWLC will acknowledge your donation in due course.
I have requested Dr. Suhanda Jayawardena the veterinarian at the
Elephant Transit Home (ETH) to send you a report on the trial, once it
is over.
I am enclosing a few pictures of some of the calves at the ETH. The
ETH currently is home to 27 calves ranging from 3 months to 3 years in
age. Since its inception nearly five years ago, two batches of calves
around 4 years of age have been released back to the wilds. Monitoring
indicates that these calves are doing well.
If you require any publicity for Grober and have ideas please let me
know. I can run them through the DWLC to see whether these can be
accommodated.
Best regards,
Lalith Seneviratne
